Hispanic Arts & Culture Day
On Sunday, May 2, 2021, the High Point Arts Council will present Hispanic Arts & Culture Day at the Centennial Station Arts Center from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The purpose of this arts education event is to bring awareness of the Hispanic/Latino population, its growth and traditions. Music and entertainment will be provided by the Ballet Folklorico Mexican Tradition of Julio Ruiz, vocalist and artistic director, Lorena Guillen; and a special performance by Cesar Oviedo Combo. There will also be a live Q&A session with Giselle Mansi, Director of the Latino Family Center for the YWCA, as she educates us on the history of the Hispanic/Latino culture. This event is at no cost, but a ticket is required to attend.
